Mu second Cah boy, wae "prediagnosed" via DNA testing. My endo would not treat him until he "presented" symtoms of SW CAH. It really made me mad, we just sat around waiting for his levels to get out of whack...he did end up back in the hospital for a day with an IV. It took a month of daily blood tests/ electrolytes and weight checks to get him going. He ended up needing 4 Florinef per day for the first 6 months to regulate his sodium. It was "easier" the second time around but it take some doing. My boys are 7 and 4 now and they are doing great, both take one Florinef per day and a total of 6.25 mgs of Cortef.
The delivery was not considered high risk or anything...it was a breeze.

Good Luck to you.
