I wonder why they waited to see if he would have symptoms especially if he was diagnosed thorough prenatal testing. It’s seems crazy to wait for symptoms.  I remember thought that when Jackson and I  were at Cornell for two weeks there was a mom who had a baby girl with SWCAH whose brother had died from CAH a few years prior as a baby. They didn’t start her meds right away and a day or two later they had to transfer her to the NICU because apparently she was starting to go into crisis. Seems strange and I wonder what the reason could be for this?

Well, I don’t plan on waiting for symptoms and hopefully this one will present with similar to his older brother (mildly). I plan on having this one circumcised like his brothers. Jackson now almost 2 had it done before diagnosis. Actually, he didn’t start his meds until 30 days and never had problems at all before that. So, I’ll have to ask the endo at our next appt. what the protocol is. I feel much more confident about the CAH diagnosis on this baby now. I just have to wait and see I guess.
