Risty it might be that they insist on taking your baby’s blood work two hours after the dose because I have been told that hydrocortisone tablets enter the system about 45 - 60 minutes after taking them and data shows they reach a peak after about 2 hours.  Perhaps they want see exactly what the 17 OHP levels and cortisol levels are at this stage.  I am sure your baby’s endo would be happy to explain why they do these tests then.  Have you thought of writing a letter with all your questions and sending it to them.  There doesn’t seem to be a set protocol for the way CAH is monitored and which makes it difficult for us parents, but these doctors are specialised in CAH and if you have any doubts, do what many of us who use this board have done - get a second opinion.  Good luck.
