RistyIt didn’t sound as though he might go into an adrenal crisis from one second to the other. Besides for the high temperature he really acted his usual cheerful and active self. I gave him tylenol, doubled his dose when the fever was above normal, dressed him warmly and made sure that he was in a room without air conditioning. If the situation would look serious I wouldn’t think twice about calling his endo.
The fever is completely gone by now. It’s my husband who is taking over at this point. He is laying in bed bundled up in his thick winter blanket, with a severe cold and high fever. The air condition is shut and he doesn’t allow me to open a window even a teeny bit. (You know how it is when men are sick :(...) I hope I’ll be able to fall asleep in that stuffy room this night.
In any case I’m planning to ask the endo at my next visit, how to dose in the future when fever rises and falls constently. This is the way all my children usually run a fever and it’s worth being prepared.
Thanks for the advice
