The reason they wait for them to present is to make sure they have CAH, I guess with all things DNA testing is not full proof. It was my endo that made us wait, which at the time seemed like an eternity, I am sure it was just a few days. We went home from the hospital without meds for
our second child, and then it was the Easter holiday weekend etc....it just drove me nuts! All is well but looking back it still makes me mad. My brother-in-law is a Dr. and he says that that is the correct protocol, but when it is your baby and we came so close to losing our first it just does not seem to make sense. Anyway discuss with your endo up front so you know what you are doing. Best of luck.
