Chris DI just want to echo what others have said. Kids/people with CAH can, and do, lead wonderful, full, happy lives.
My 5 year old son is healthy, generally happy, sensitive, active, articulate and all around my favorite child on the planet! He goes to camp, playdates, birthday parties, preschool and anywhere his bike can take him (with me fast on his heels)
I do however, post about my concerns for him - I am one who brings up weight. I am not trying to be negative about him or his life but I am always trying to learn as much as I can about him and about CAH to help him live the best life possible.
I have found this message board to be a wonderful source of support and information (Thank you Danny).
I always remind myself that after spending time here, I will be more sensitive to the difficulties of CAH because most of the posts will focus on problems. This is most often a place for help, information and support. That doesn’t change the fact that the other 23 3/4 hours a day are really quite good.
