While I understand you not wanting to switch again I feel as if you must really explain to this doc that you want to know.  When my daughter was first diagnosed we met with a ped endo (that I mentioned above) and he did just about everything except pat me on my little head and say "don’t worry your pretty little head about this bad ol disease. . ." that made me feel that I didn’t need to understand / would not be able to etc. . .  If he honestly feels this way then he should at least be able to point you in the direction of where to find the info.  Ours took us to the university library and gave us TOO much information! LOL  We mothers are NEVER satisfied when it comes to our precious ones are we?!
