17 OHP Blood Spot Testing - 24 Hr profile results
Jun. 23rd, 2003   12:16am

We got half of the results back for our 24 hour profile today which was done last week on the 17th and 18th June.  The first three blood spots that we did came back today and we are waiting on another three to come back taken at 12:00, 3am and another at 7.45am again.

Time taken       Result
  7:45 am          49
 12:00 noon         2
  5:00 pm          29

I just thought that I would post the differences here for others to see what happens with 17 OHP through the day and how different the levels look after each dose.  The 49 result taken at 7.45 am was after a dose was given at 1.38 am in the morning.  I woke up earlier than planned and dosed there and took the blood spot test out of curiosity at 7.45 after giving a dose so early as sometimes I have done this and needed to know what it climbs to when I dose earlier than I should.  So we did another blood spot the following morning at 7.45 am also after dosing at 3am so it will be interesting to see how much lower that result is ---since he will be dosed on time.  If you note we don’t have the 3am blood spot back yet, that will tell us if the 5pm dose og 2.50mg is enough.  That was the dose I was most concerned about earlier this year so can’t wait till that test result comes back.  :)  That and seeing what the 12:00 midnight test turns up.  That will help put things into perspective.    We sent the other three away a day later so we won’t get them back until later this week, but I’ll post the results here in this thread when we get them.

I thought they were good results and am happy with them at the moment. I think he is under good control looking at those, especially if the others come under 50 also.
