Surgery for Sinuses and Adenoids

Our SW son is 6 and a recent visit to an Ear, Nose, Throat Dr. determined that should have a "Submucous Resection Turbinates"  (which is basically cutting down some ridges in the sinus cavity).  He said while we are in there we might as well remove the Adenoids.  Note that our son’s main symptom is a "nasily" voice and somewhat recent (none in his life until last December) recurrent Sinus infections.  The Dr. didn’t saywhether this surgery would eliminate sinus infections.

My concern is that our son is one of those CAH patients that goes into adrenal stress over even a simple cold.  Namely, with every cold he goes into the "adrenal vomiting and must have meds trippled and most times ER IVs.   It worries me that he may go into adrenal crisis following surgery (even with meds trippled) and go into vomiting (OUCH!) or worse for a sugery that is being done to improve the quality of his voice and maybe will help him breath better.

I am skeptical of Drs and knives.  Advice please!
