Hopefully the parents with older children will post -as I don’t have much experience (our son is 1 yr. old), but I also read that on the label for the cortef. So, I’ve always made sure he nursed right after and now that he’s older, I either give him food a little bit before or right after.  However, at night, he hasn’t eaten for about 3-4 hours when he gets his meds & we don’t give him anything after that and he’s fine.  I’m sure it depends on the child as does everything.
