JANEAs a person who suffers badly with chronic sinus infections I know how awful they are. A nasty infection can put me in bed for a couple of days. Whenever I get a cold I never get too unwell from the cold but am guaranteed to suffer after the cold with a sinus infection. My doctor has said that my sinuses are such that they prone to filling with mucous that just pools there and the first sign of a bug and I get a sinus infection. I also have major problems with allergies to pollens, foods etc. If I eat something I shouldn’t or am exposed to an allergen of some kind my sinuses get all blocked up with mucous and inevitably it leads to a sinus infection. I use Beconaise to try and keep the allergies at bay and am very careful about what I eat. Anway the point I am trying to get to is that if there is anything you can do to stop recurrent sinus infections then do it. Unless you have suffered with constant infections you can’t know just how awful it is. Check with a few doctors and find out whether this surgery can help with the sinus infections or not. That should help sway your decision.
Good Luck
Jane
