We have forgotten doses and not remembered them until the next one 8 hours later (total = 16 hours without meds) and Ashley has been okay.  You don’t want to let that happen too often and if it does we usually double the dose up and give the missed dose AND the next dose so that his cortisol levels can rectify what would be a rise in 17 OHP etc.  We dose 4 times per day @
