RistyThanks Janet and Lynn. You both told me what I was really waiting to hear. I didn’t feel like canceling that appointment but I couldn’t just make this long drive to Cornell and come for nothing.
Actually it’s a little more than only high temperature that my baby is going through now. He also suffers from severe diarrhea lately. His diarrhea is really manageable, in fact. He doesn’t need more than a few feedings of rice cereal and he right away starts suffering from constipation instead. In other words, his system is a roller coaster at this point. The same as with the fever the diarrhea keeps on coming and going. He was stress dosed lately almost more often than not. I can’t even think how it will be possible for me to wait two full weeks without stress dosing before doing blood work.
I don’t think it has anything to do with teething. My children are all very sensitive to the change of weather and it looks like he’s just part of the family. If it’s associated with his job, I would appreciate it if his endo would also have a look at his overall well being. He might have some kind of infection or something in his body which I’m not aware of.

P.S. I left my baby with a babysitter for two hours yesterday night. He was well before I left, so I didn’t delve into details explaining much about the child’s condition. I just left the girl a sealed envelope with all the details and information that could be helpful in case of an emergency and told her to call EMS if he doesn’t act himself. When I came back the baby was sleeping peacefully and the sitter assured me that everything was fine. About 5:00AM he woke up and I right away realized that the he was very quite and sleepy. I took his temperature and as expected it was very high. I brought forward his morning dose and doubled it. I also gave him Advil and he started getting better ( I don’t think that the drowsiness he experienced was supposed to indicate an impending crisis. It could really only be the fever that pulled him down, like in any child, but it doesn’t make much of a difference.) When I spoke to that babysitter today she complemented me, that my baby was very quit and good and he didn’t disturb her at all...
Now I’m learning, that the next time I’ll get someone to watch the children, I’ll have to make sure that she knows to keep an eye when my baby is behaving to good :) . . .
