I am glad that you will keep your endo appointment.  I must tell you though that my son would have been in the ER if he was exhibiting the same symptoms as your child.  Ryan is a SEVERE salt waster and has been known to go into adrenal crisis simply from vomiting once or having one bout of diarrhea.  One time it appeared that he began heading into a crisis from being out in a boat and sweating without us taking notice of it.

He has the severe salt wasting form of CAH which is referred to as Exon 7 T insertion. 

I have been on this board for several years and it appears to me that there is a broad range of different reactions under the salt wasting title.  Some salt waster’s will be fine after an illness and others "crash" from a fever.   You will come to know which one your child is as time goes on.  It does get easier as they get older because they can communicate with you and give you advanced warning that they are not feeling well.

Please keep us posted as I am getting quite nervous for you each time I hear that your son has a fever again.  Now that I hear that he has that AND some diarrhea AND may be getting a bit lethargic my anxiety level is rising.

I will keep you and your son in my prayers.
