My 2 1/2 yr old son is currently taking .5 ml of Pedia pred twice daily and is not growing.  After reading the Consensus Statement on the treatment of CAH, I asked my doctor about Hydrocortisone and he said that he would like to use it but it only came in 5 mg tablets and my son only needs 4.5 mg per day and there is no way to break that tablet out into three doses.  I have since found a Childrens Compounding Pharmacy in Columbus,OH that is compounding capsules for me.  I have not yet received them(or the bill) but we are hoping this will have a positive effect on his growth. Anyone have similar issues or know about smaller doses of HC?  Thanks!!
