We have recently relocated to California, near the bay area. My two year old seemed to do fine for the first couple of days, then we had a heat wave. Although she didn’t stay out for an extended period of time on those days, she has ended up with a terrible rash covering her entire body. Could this be prickly heat? I have bathed her in Aveeno, slathered her in sunscreen and anti-itch lotions, neosporin, hydrocotisone, etc. but it seems to be spreading daily. She doesn’t seemed too bothered by it, although when I change her diaper she takes full advantage of squiggling around on the carpet to scratch her back. Her face has two silver dollar sized red circles on her cheeks as well. She seems to tolerate the heat okay, and it hasn’t stopped her from getting out there and playing but I am growing increasingly concerned by the day, as it does not seem to be going away. Has anyone else (Laura?) been through this, does it just have to run it’s course? I am contemplating taking her to the doctor today, but I don’t think there is anything they will be able to give her for this. As for tanning, she is brown as a biscuit, and has not burned whatsoever.Kaye
