re: When did your endo give you Solucortef for your child?

Sherry,

Our old endo tried to do that too. ( we changed endo’s)

Personally, I don’t like it and refused to do it that way.  There are too many "what if’s" for me to take that risk with my childs life......

What if we WANT to leave our child with a relative for a night out?

What if we are in  car accident and can’t speak for our child or even are just so dazed and confused that we don’t think of it til later when we are going to one hospital and our child to another?

Oh gosh there are so many endless possibilities. Why take that chance when you don’t have to??  To be blunt.... there are no second chances after death.

I get ticked all over again that we were told the same thing. No way. Not with my kids.

But, that’s me. ( smile )

I let my kids take risks all the time that some parents don’t allow. (i.e.  my 6 yr old riding down our back hill on my 2 yr olds trike.... can be dangerous.... MIGHT even break a bone one of these days.... he sure is having fun and hurting no one.... good thing we have that solu-cortef handy!
