UTI’s and Baby girls without surgery and immunization questions...
Jul. 4th, 2003   3:40pm

My daughter’s urologist did a cystoscopy and vaginoscopy on June 10 and told my husband and I that since her vagina is futher back then they expected he won’t do her surgery until she is 9 months-1 year old. I was told by another lady that her 7 month old daughter gets frequent UTI’s because they haven’t had her surgery done. She also said that they can be deadly, to these girls with CAH. Is this true? Has anyone else not taken their daughter to have surgery yet? She is of the SWCAH.

Also, when you take your baby in for his/her immunizations what do you do beforehand with the cortef? Our endo told us to double the dose for just that day. What are your experiences?

Thanks in advance!
