My daughters have had the yeast infection on the skin in the diaper area and our ped. said to use gyno-lotrim like what we would use as woman but just put the lotion on the rash not internally it has worked great and clears up within a day. my youngest had thrush in her mouth once which i guess is a form of yeast and then they gave me some liquid meds to wipe in her mouth with a q-tip. but they have not had any antibotics for it.
