We went through the same thing & I don’t have much advice -but I also wanted to say it gets much better -and our son is only 1 now.  Our endo gave us the 30 minute time-frame too.  You’ll often find as you go along that a lot of this is not concrete info and depends on your child -which is so hard when you have no experience with it & he or she is so little.  We tried to not feed Danny at least 30 min before or after meds, but it was very hard as in the first months he was eating almost every hour.  -and he also had a type of reflux problem that luckily he seems to be outgrowing.  The good news for us is that his tests, growth..are all on schedule so it makes me confident that even though we might just be going on intuition sometimes, he’s doing great!  Hang in there!
