I think it depends on the child, your endocrinologist, and your input.  I know there are some on this board who medicate 4 times a day, some 2, and some 3... You’ll also hear about people changing not only dosage amounts but times based on growth issues and such.  Our son is 1 and we divide the 5mg tablet into 3 doses -7am, 3pm, 10/11 pm.  I’m sure you’ll get more input from parents on here who have been doing this a lot longer.  Best wishes!
