I have one SWCAH child I medicate twice a day and another SWCAH child I medicate three times a day.  It just depends on the child.  My son (9years) just could not get through the day without that afternoon dose.  He was tired, cranky, moody, unable to focus on homework...  My daughter (age 11) has always done well on just two doses.  They are all different.  My endo believes that IF they can do well on twice a day, it’s better, because they are more likely to be compliant.  It’s so easy to forget that afternoon dose.  Good Luck
