Hello,

   I was diagnosed when I was 10 years old with CAH.  I have had genetic testing done, and it shows that I am only a carrier for the disease, but I exhibit all the symptoms.  To make a long story short, my endocronologist took me off of my Cortef last summer (when I was 18).  Does anyone know if being taken off of this medicine could cause a weight gain?  I started my freshman year of college last fall and gained some freshman weight....but, I ate healthier and was more active while in school.  Are there any correlations between thyroid problems and CAH?  I am going to my endocrinologist next week, and have some questions to ask her regarding this, but any help anyone could provide would be extremely helpful.  Also, I am on the birth control YASMIN.  I was looking on the website yesterday and it reccomends that people with adrenal disorders should not take this.   Does anyone have any information that may be helpful regarding this?  Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!
