I am not against the surgery!  My daughter had hers done at 3 months and 5 months and I’m so glad we had the surgery done.  To go through that at 12 would be quite traumatic I would think and am so glad my daughter won’t have that to deal with when she is older.  I think what some of the other Mums said is wise about needing some counselling and her making the decision.  Obviously she must have some surgery done but it’s a real shame they can’t get the whole lot over and done with in one lot of surgery.  Then it wouldn’t be quite so bad for her.  Just make sure she knows exactly what she is in for and let her decide.
