I have had similar experiences when I have had surgery...  you just have to chalk it up to them not understanding the severity of the condition and expect that you will have to explain it everytime your child has any procedure done. It gets irritating, I know. A funny thing that happened to me when I had my adrenalectomy.... it was the last day I was in the hospital after a very LONG week and my nurse kept bringing my cortisone later and later. Finally, the last time she was 2 hours late and I was getting worrried. So I asked her what was going on... she told me she was trying to wean me off the cortisone slowly and hopefully when I got home I would be off of the meds completely!!  My husband wanted to reach across the bed and strangle her!!!  So basically she was trying to kill me.. LoL... anyways, so another example of the people taking care of us don’t always know a whole lot more that we know!!
