We, too, are waiting to have surgery for my daughter. When she is around 12 she will obviously need the surgery to seperate the labia to allow for blood to flow. But at that age I doubt if she will be ready to make a decision about her clitoris. I suggest this to you for your daughter’s sake. Have the medically necessary surgery done now and wait on the other. I also agree with counseling in the meantime. Since you have waited this long to have surgery why not wait a bit longer and let your daughter be fully informed and experiencing orgasms to know what she might be jeopordizing by having the clitoral surgery.
