Dear Friends,
The March of Dimes got some terrific press for expanded Newborn Screening today. A story on their mission to see universal expansion of newborn screening was published on several internet wire services, highlighting CAH newborn screening. The story can be seen at

By the way, they have several errors in my interview, but the one involving Nevada NBS deserves correction. A group of energetic, smart, wonderful NV parents began advocating to have CAH be included in the RFP sent out by the State of NV for its laboratory contract renewal. The proposal that was circulated did not include CAH. The state was so swayed by these parents that it recalled the RFP and sent out an amended RFP that included CAH. This was in February. Nevada approved expanded NBS including CAH and MS/MS and began the expanded screening July 1. Way to go Nevada!
Regards,
Kelly
