RistyThanks for your concerns.
Carol, it’s not as if he became gloomy from one day to the other. In the beginning I only realized it when I saw other babies his age are much more active. Now he is already really quite, cuddly and angel like. I can even say that he sleeps allot, but he is not a total rag doll. He crawls, though only a short distance and very slowly and only when he really wants to get to something. His smiles, but rarely and it is also reserved only for his close family, and while his feet where firm when he was little he now has very low muscle tone. I can’t decide whether this is his nature or there is really something seriously wrong behind it. I’m thinking if he was more active before because the access cortisone was uplifting to him. In any case I wouldn’t want him to stay that way.
To whom did you refer when you advised me to check it out with his doctor? Did you mean the endo or his regular pediatrician?
Christin, I’m not surprised with the rashes. I believe it’s eczema, not a heat rash. What he has under his ear is much more sever than that. The skin is very cracked and his clothing are always bloody. Allergies run in our family and it’s expected that sooner or later this baby will come out with it too. What is concerning me is the fact that it started together with the drop of dose. I was wondering if it could be that he as it at this point already because his body is lacking cortisone which is also an healing element. But if it’s only rashes he has and not other serious side affects common to CAHers I would rather chose to treat it with something more natural and healthy than extra cortisone.
