Sherry-

as for the solu-cortef, I would insist that your doctor give you the prescription. Our daughter is 5 mo. old and luckily we have never had to use it, but also, the statement that your child will always be with you is more than likely incorrect. I try not to leave my little girl with people, but in reality there are times I have to. We were told there was a shortage also. We looked everywhere and finally found one vial in a hospital pharmacy. So, keep trying.

On the case of the yeast infection, I would just watch her symptoms. A suggestion though, if the lotromin cream doesn’t work, try going to your pharmacy and picking up a bottle of boric acid. Mix about 1 teaspoon boric acid with 1 cup water. Apply with a cotton ball during diaper changes. It will clear the yeast infection almost immediately. I know it sounds harsh, but is painless and completly safe. Just make sure you get the boric acid in the pharmacy, as there is more than one kind. there is one for killing bugs I believe..you don’t want that one!
