I was born with salt-losing CAH, as was my sister.  She has a healthy 3 year old daughter, now I’m working on getting pregnant.  My sister’s doctor (my sister lives across the country, so we have different doctors)  put her on double her regular dose of dex for 6 months before he gave her the go-ahead to start trying, then triple her dose during her pregnancy.  She gained 25 lbs on the double-dose before even getting pregnant!

My reproductive endocrinologist said that my free-testerone level is normal, and there is no reason to increase my dosage of prednisone.  My sister says he’s crazy.  I am so confused!! I want to get pregnant and have a healthy baby, does anyone here have any advice?  Thanks.
