WolverineTo quote from re:Osteoporosis "Thats because whatever your body can not retain due to high cortisol levels..." ( scratching my head here and confused)
I lack the ablity to make cortisol because of the CAH and orally take hydrocortisone. It’s just enough cortisol to cap any excessive androgens and to help my body/adrenals function like anyone that doesn’t have CAH. I don’t understand the high cortisol reference but everything else was cool :)
Wanted to add that I have lots of muscle mass, I’m built very solid like a rottweiler or even a beerstein. ( Sorry, warped sense of humor) Oh wanted to add this one ...ok .... 75% of people with CLASSICAL CAH are salt-wasters and 25% are simple-virilizers. I was driving around today and watched a squirrel dodge and maneuver across busy traffic and I cheered him on as he dove to the other- side of the street then a traffic light stop came, I was fiddling around with the radio and stopped at a Classical music station. Hummm ....Classical music...ok ..I get that but Classical CAH ????? What the heck does classical mean in regard to this medical condition? (smile) I know what the rest of it means, Congenital = before birth, Adrenal Hyperplasia = thickening of the Adrenal gland but Classical?? I am having fun with this but really why the word Classical? It makes me want to break-out my pearls and penny loafers! ( silly, silly).
