Thanks again, Risty, for your care for Adrien.

The first results for my older son seem good. The bone age is 9 while Adrien will be 9 years old in november. The blood tests are good too.

But I think I should do the DNA test just to make sure that LOCAH will not occur later.

As for you, I think you recently posted a message about stones in your kidneys ?

I haven’t heard about such problems concerning carriers (but I know it is very painful !). However, my affected son (Mattéo, who is 18 months old) has a nephrocalcinosis (it is an abnormal amount of calcium in his kidneys). Doctors I saw in France (where I live, I am french) did not know about a relation with CAH. But as I explore web sites about CAH, I read that calcium problems are frequent. My endo finally told me that the calcium levels in blood of CAH children were often high. If CAH patients are not know for having a nephrocalcinosis, it may be because their kidneys are not systematically explored by echography (my son had one because a urinary infection was suspected).

I think doctors should explore more how CAH can lead to calcium problems and see if it is possible to prevent or cure them.

How many children do you have ? How many are affected ?

Bye
