Let’s have a show of hands of those with relatives who know that they have a much, much higher chance of being a carrier, know what the condition is and how it afects people, but still don’t think testing is necessary for them. [hand raised] (Not one of my relatives have bothered to have genetic testing done, or request any sort of extra prenatal or newborn screening.)

So how is a tabloid article supposed to have more affect that seeing the subject in real life?
