But, as I have learned and others have, even the most compellling evidence won’t change a mind if it has been made up already.  I’ll raise my hand also here.

I post peer-reviewed stuff here all the time that gives a pretty compelling argument against surgery, but it doesn’t always change minds.  I question the lack of compelling evidence saying it is a good idea, yet it doesn’t change minds.

Still, it doesn’t harm them to learn about some of the issues we face.
