LindaHi Angela,
It is amazing how we get strength from other people even if we haven’t met. Just knowing we share similar hardships and health concerns, brings people together. I really appreciate your sharing your experience with CAH. It helps me see that other women with CAH are well and adjusted and happy. I worry about my 3 year old daughter (who has non classical CAH) all the time.
As far as getting pregnant again, I am still really unsure. I have fear that if I was to get preeclampsia again it would be worse, etc. I don’t mean to sound like a pessimist, I just will never forget the feeling of fighting for my own life as well as my 2 pound daughter fighting for hers. I have prayed and prayed for an answer for this and I will continue. My dream was to have 2 children. I would love to give my daughter a sibling. My husband doesn’t want anymore children because of all we have been through over the last 4 years. Yet when we think of him having the "snip, snip" surgery (vasectomy) we can’t bring ourselves to it. I would need to get going on this decision soon as I am not getting any younger! I know what you mean about them being worth every second. I feel the same way. :o)
So, you have had high blood pressure since you developed preeclampsia? That is really interesting to me that they will allow you to take the medication for it during pregnancy. I would like to know more about that. Please keep me posted on what happens for you. Eventhough I know it is different for everyone, I would really like to see how you progress. I remember my doctor mentioning to me once something about taking an aspirin a day, too, during pregnancy. I guess it is supposed to lower blood pressure.
I’ll be thinking of you...
Blessings,
Linda
