There is one thing I can advise you: 

 Pray.  Pray to God that this scenario should never happen.

As much as we would all like to be able to protect the ones we love all the time, all the way, we are just not God and an unforeseen situation can come up with any child, even with one who does not have a medical condition, where we are tied down and can’t handle it.  What if God forbid, your son where to fall into a pit or get lost in the woods for a few hours...are you prepared for that?  Of course I wish someone would come forth with the perfect advice that would protect your child (and mine as well) wherever he is, but even than our children are still not secure.  It’s our responsibility as parents to do the best we can and than we just have to leave things go and trust God that he will do the rest.
