This is when we finally succumbed to getting a solu-cortef order for our daughter to have at school.  New ’lockdown’ procedures were being put into place and it made sense to have the solu-cortef IM in case she needed to stay overnight at the school.

Different jurisdictions have different plans for a lockdown (the God-forbid overnight type).  However, they should all include a plan which details communications between the school and fire/rescue.  The school nurse should have a list of kids with special medical needs (CAH, diabetics, severe asthma).

Just ask what the plan is and how you will be contacted in case of a lockdown.
