...that lock-downs are officially part of some school systems these days.  My children attend a small private school and I’m not up-to-date with the going ons in the big places.  In our little world there was never a lock-down and I doubt there will ever be.  I thought you where worrying only in case... two masked people will storm into the building armed with riffles etc.  I agree that in your situation it’s only responsible from your side to do whatever you can.  Ignore my post.  It wasn’t meant for the sort of circumstance you are in.
