Linda, what is it in my post that makes you pull back?  I think I put her down in a very positive light.  It’s not a ’must’ to go to her, especially since you mention that your daughter is under good care, but if you want a second opinion she is the perfect choice (Besides if you emphasize on checking with a doctor who has all the time in the world to answer all your questions.  She does not and even the resident doctor can’t be kept up without a limit since Dr New’s day in the office is a very busy one.)

We never had an ACTH done on my son so far but will be doing it one day next week, since the results of his recent blood work didn’t match up exactly with what was expected according to his DNA.

I also do blood work after medication.  There are some people on this board who think it’s not proper but I asked about it and was explained that they want to see what the medicine does for the child when it’s in the system and if the dose is correct.  Although it sounds to me that that’s how they always do it, I’m not sure.  It’s possible that my son was tested differently to help figure out what his true condition is.  Also they don’t need to compare old results with new ones.  What doctors are trying to figure out is only whether the childs levels are in the normal range according to that given situation (in your case, in the morning, after taking medication)

LOCAH and NCCAH are the same.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
