Moodiness seems to be a consistent symptom among CAH kids (the adults talk of feeling it, but usually have learned to control their behavior). I know when I was prescribed prednisone for inflammation, I found myself wondering why everyone was trying to tick me off. I’m not sure if it’s just the meds or also the CAH itself which contributes to it, but it’s a reality. I stress to my kids that their CAH will make them feel angry or sad, but they are still in control of how they feel. Unfortunately my son is in a phase where he’s enjoying being mad, so we have to deal with that alot.
