Bad endo experience
Sep. 10th, 2003   6:22pm
I took my daughter to see her endo yesterday. She is now in the 25% for her height and the 75% for her weight. Her endo did not seemed concerned with this. We also should be getting her regular labs back by tomorrow. I questioned the doctor about my daughters virilization, and asked if she could give me a number from the Prader scale. I was informed that they didn’t use the scale. Is this unusual? Also, when I asked if I could get a emergency letter with instructions for the ER the doctor declined. She didn’t see any need for one. Her doctor is 80 miles away so I felt I should just take her to the local hospital in the event of a crisis. The only instructions she could give me were that I should take her to the local hosp. and call Childrens Hosp. to page the endo on call. I am seriously considering switching doctors. Actually, I should probably make another point. This woman we see is a nurse practitioner. We have not seen my daughters doctor since she was 2 weeks old, and she is now 6 mo. I have been satisfied with my daughters care until yesterday, when denied the letter. Just needed to vent.
