Maybe there are only one or two among two hundred (not a thousand, I know quite a few people with sever intolerances for peanuts + many others with intolerances for other things, and I don’t even know 100 people well enough that they should discuss their allergies with me.) but I certainly wouldn’t opt for home schooling.  I don’t think it’s fear to tie a child to the house and not let her socialize with others because of a condition.  Such a child will very likely grow up with a negative attitude toward everything and everyone and would deeply resent her parents (like many adult girls with CAH whom’s mothers agreed to surgery) for keeping her locked in.  Even my sisters, I pity allot (although they are mature enough and don’t show they mind) for only missing out on the thrill and experience of attending camp, sleep away and other unsuitable activities.  Really, if it would be myself I would much rather agree to living a normal life with all the risks involved rather than having a guaranteed long life but in a bubble without the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
