As a homeschooler I can assure you that staying at home is not that severe, and doesn’t bring that kind of resentment. I don’t let Ginny or Jonathan spent the night with anyone except a few close relatives, and as for camp, the only camp I ever went to was church camp, and I’ve already got the go-ahead from our children’s minister that whenever Jonathan’s ready to go, I can go along as a counselor. Our kids get plenty of socialization.
