Sue B.Jon,
We give it at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and have ever since he was born. Some days we have been as late as 1 to 1 1/2 hours but he normally gets up around 7:00 and doesn’t go to bed until 8:30 so it hasn’t ever been a problem. With your child being so much younger her sleep schedule might not be as regular. I have forgotten ONE time and nothing terrible happened but I quickly purchased a pill minder and fill it up every Sunday night, because it is such a habit now it can be very easy to forget that it has already been given. Although now he will tell me.
As an infant our son was on Pediapred, which is a liquid. Dr. New is not a fan of this but he did very well on it and was very well controlled. It is much easier to tweak the dosage with the liquid, but it can slow growth. Good luck!
