I never said her method of testing was "that bad. " In fact, my personal opinion is that you can probably do things either way, as long as you changed the criteria by which you determined good control.  In other words, if you take blood AFTER meds or in the afternoon,  you would need to use a lower threshold.  If you took blood BEFORE meds in the morning, then higher levels can be acceptable. 
 
But who cares what I think....I am only interested in what works!  However, a conclusion of "no difference" is hardly enough to make me jump up and down, insisting that we need to follow this protocol!  If there is no difference, why so rigid about saying it HAS to be done this way??? 
 
There are many good endos out there, who do not do things the way that Dr. New does....whether you are talking about the drug of choice to treat CAH, testing methods, what they consider acceptable hormone levels, etc.  Automatically assuming that another doctor must be wrong, if they are not in agreement with her---in my opinion----does many fine doctors a great disservice.
