Amanda you need to understand that there are parents on this board who have lost children because medicine was not available in a timely enough manner. Just recently here in this area a CAH child was rendered blind and mentally disabled because the batch of Cortef she’d been taken had been allowed to freeze in the delivery truck on the way to the pharmacy. Adina’s concern is real, valid and totally understandable. She’s being a good mother, and her children are lucky to have someone that is willing to go to such lengths for them.

Life is full of things we take for granted, but that someone else didn’t. Did the person who installed your brakes have a bad day and leave them half secure? Did the people who put together the steel frame of the high rise you work in follow all those annoying safety regulations, or decided they were silly and took short cuts? That our stoves don’t blow up, our food doesn’t poison us, or a million other things we have no idea could happen don’t kill us is because someone somewhere took it seriously. I would just bet that your own parents could confirm this in the care they took with you growing up.
