Hi Stephanie,

It may be different in you neck of the woods. In my area though, the paramedics don’t carry solucortef on board and they are not allowed to administer drugs that they don’t carry on the ambulance. So, even though the medic alert bracelet told them what my son needed they couldn’t administer. AT the hospital, obviously they could but....why wait.  They did tell me, like I mentioned before, that if my babysitter freaked out and couldn’t give the shot, they could walk her through it but couldn’t administer it!! I was very shocked. So, my choices now are to work with them to have that drug added to their ambulance. They are very nice guys and had never heard of CAH. They were very willing to hear about it and to try to help me so that the solu cortef would be carried on board.

It’s worth checking it out.
