Hmm, Megan feels we should not winge and complain, the treatment we are receiving is wonderful compared to people in developing countries!  The difference as stated is that our doctors do have the medical knowledge, the fully equipped laboratories and perfectly adequate medication, so why are our kids still being failed?  Most do not reach their full height potential, many have problems with weight, fertility, hirsutism, acne, headaches, b/p, low bone density etc etc.  Quite often the problem is that children are not seen often enough and given the relevant blood tests when required and side effects occur as a consequence.  There is still a lot of room for improvement regarding monitoring and medication requirements in order that all our kids can receive the treatment they deserve. 

I understand the problems in the developing Countries, but what is our excuse???  We have the technology but good, caring specialists are very difficult to locate!
