Peanut allergy
Sep. 22nd, 2003   12:25am

Hi everyone,

This is not directly related to CAH but I thought I would get valuable input from other moms though.

My daughter reacted to some peanut butter with mild hives . This was after I had given her peanuts and peanut butter many times before. The RAST came back mild positive for peanuts. I’m quite baffled as to what that means. Our appointment for the oral challenge is not until NOvember and I’m really anxious to know if anyone has encountered this before. She is already allergic to milk and now this thing with peanuts is driving me crazy. With her SWCAH the last thing i want is an anaphylactic reaction.

Does anyone else have a child with a mild peanut allergy and does it ever grow in intensity or does my daughter have a chance of outgrowing it ?

Any input is welcome,

Thanks,

SueG
