Cortef is pretty cheap.  In fact it is so cheap that it is less than our copay so we pay the entire price even though we have insurance....so I just get an RX whenever I want and I always have about 2 or 3 months around!  It’s great.  I make sure I rotate them so none go bad.  I too always keep injection kits (3) with us wherever we go (and I have 2 more at home) and extra Cortef in case ...(as well as a thermometer, advil, pedialyte etc).we forget to bring her set aside dose...or she needs extra.  .  Our endo will give us a rx for as many as we like and knows we won’t abuse them!  By the way THEY ARE NOT HARD TO COME BY!  I got a RX in ONE day!!!!  They ordered it and it was delivered the next day.  This was one month ago.  Julia
